Hap, Audrey Hepburn’s character, was not God, actually. I always saw her as an angel that was tasked with guiding Pete. I agree with everything else, though. Always is a really good film by itself, and John Williams’ score, especially what can only be described as one of the best romantic themes ever, is very moving. I agree about the funny moments in the film as well; I always laugh at those moments.

I hedged by saying "essentially"! But glad you agree about this one. The score is sublime.

Upgraded my subscription to Founding because of your decision to make the podcast free for all. Well done.

And Always is "nearly" on my top ten as well. His romantic themes, humor and especially loss and grief resonate with me. Glad you added this extra.

I saw Always for the first time just last year, after listening to the score for years. This movie deserves far more attention than it gets, and I love that you love it, for many of the same reasons I do. It's funny, silly, romantic, sad. It's everything you could want from a movie like this.

The music is exquisite. It's one of those that I have on repeat often, when I'm in the mood for a softer, more beautiful score.

Genuinely happy to find others who feel the same way I do about this unsung gem!
