Thanks for sharing, Tim. Way to leave this on a figurative cliff-hangar (possibly literal, given the scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). I look forward to reading more about this.
I still haven't heard STEPMOM as yet and only recently got it. I just need the right mood and setting to get into it. It does feature cor anglais An instrument that really does a lot for me emotionally.
That was really fun! I can identify with many aspects of this kind of obsession. I always find it remarkable how things from the past that one took for granted, considered childish, or embarrassing, still trigger a certain obsessive nostalgia today, and how one can sometimes indulge in this zeitgeist for weeks or months. John Williams' music has certainly helped objectifying and preserving the diverse zeitgeists encountered over my 50-plus years.

Great read, thanks Tim.
Was your first time seeing him conduct at Film night in Tanglewood in 2006?
It was also my first time. And unfortunately last 😢
But I will cherish this moment forever.
Yes, that was my first time!

Why did the phrase "butter soaked temple" make me tear up? Got me.
What a cliff-hanger! Can't wait for next Tuesday!
